Who We Are
Unity Angel Investments was established to connect founders and investors with a strong emphasis on the North East of England, working together in a transparent, collaborative, and long-term-focused manner.
Co-Founders
Rebecca Roberts
Rebecca has co-founded multiple companies, including a venture capital firm that raised multi-millions, invested in numerous technology businesses and achieved successful exits.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, she has over 20 years' experience in the regulated financial services industry. Having spent more than 15 years supporting start-ups and scale-ups in the early-stage venture capital sector, she brings extensive expertise in deal execution, compliance, financial governance and investor relations.
Rebecca is dedicated to widening access to early-stage investing and advancing financial empowerment for women and underrepresented groups, bringing a pragmatic and inclusive approach to the investment community.
Ciaron Gallagher
Ciaron is an active UK angel investor, business owner, non-executive director, and mentor with more than 20 years’ experience across healthcare, technology, real estate, and leisure.
A former founder, CEO, and senior executive, he has led business turnarounds, built high-growth ventures, and delivered multiple exits, including management buyouts and private-equity-backed deals.
Ciaron works closely with founders, investors, and regional partners to strengthen governance, scale early-stage businesses, and build long-term value across the North East’s innovation ecosystem.
